Nice movie ending

We saw a movie titled "30 Days at Night". It was a movie based in Barrow, Alaska and it was about these vampires that came into town and attacked the all the people. Overall, it wasn't that good of a movie. It was one of those scary movies that wasn't very scary and was somewhat predictable, except for the ending. The sheriff's wife was surrounded by vampires and they were about ready to attack her. So, the sheriff went out and got himself bitten by a vampire. Then, after he turned into a vampire, he was strong enough to attack and kill the other bad vampires and save his wife's life. Even though it was suppose to be a scary movie, that act of love and sacrifice was very touching to me.
